Dakota’s first homecoming dance was tonight. It’s kind of weird when you remember bringing your kid home from the hospital like it was just yesterday and then next thing you know, he is practically as big as you and is having you sit in the back seat while he drives with a girl in the front. For those that have gone through this, I’m sure you know what I mean. For those that haven’t, enjoy all the time you possibly can with your younger kids. It seems like they’re little kids who want to hold your hand and hang out with you anytime and then BOOM, they’re huge and always have plans of their own. Time passes so slowly when you’re young and then just accelerates out of control. It’s a wild ride, but good it’s a good one if you know you made ample time for the things that matter most.
